If you are like me you work at a church where your media department is comprised of... well... you (and some wonderful volunteers). But you probably don't have a technical director (full or part time), graphic designers, web designers, dedicated adobe gurus, or a plethora of other technically specific job titles on staff (full or part time). Do you want to know a secret? Neither did Lifechurch.tv, Granger Community Church, Church on the Move, ...
Grace Church Logo Loop from Nathan Sutliff on Vimeo.
Above is a new video loop I created to use on all our projection screens, tv screens, and what ever else in between services as people enter and exit. To be honest it was a template that I got when I purchased the Envato birthday pack. But just cause it was template doesn't mean it was as easy as dropping in our logo (well it was that easy if you didn't care how it looked). I am not an After ...
What a day! We had great services all 3 hours - which let's be honest isn't always the case, we don't always go 3 for 3. Maybe it was the combination of the set, the group on stage that day, the congregation, I'm not sure but I do know God showed up big and that is really what made it so powerful. The topic for the day was Life Change Happens best in Small Groups (both literally and in the home group/small group sense). So we added a video, you will ...

Has it ever occurred to you that one hundred pianos all tuned to the same [tuning] fork are automatically tuned to each other? They are of one accord by being tuned, not to each other, but to another standard to which each one must individually bow. So one hundred worshippers met together, each one looking away to Christ, are in heart nearer to each other than they could possibly be were they to become "unity" conscious and turn their eyes away from God ...
It's a common practice among worship leaders to "feed" lyrics to the congregation before a verse or chorus or any part where a little extra emphasis could be used. It's also good when teaching a new song or if for some reason your lyric screens go blank or freeze or some problem arises where the congregation is left without words to reference. It's not something that needs to be done every song but isn't necessarily distracting either. But as I have ...
Good day, great response. I love communion Sundays especially when we do intinction rather than passing the plates. It's great to see everyone coming down to the altar responding in such a powerful way. I loved the flow of the set, it just worked well together with the keys we chose. All in all another great day at Grace Church.

"Bach gave us God's word,
Beethoven gave us God's fire, Mozart gave us God's laughter,
God gave us music so that we may pray without words." - anonymous (written on the wall of a German Opera house)
Music is uniquely connected us. Sociologists have told us that there has not been a people group that has ever existed without some form of music and more importantly music connected with spiritual activity. Music possesses a power that is able to ...
